Why An Email List Trumps Social Media Marketing

 

I heard for umpteen years. “The money is in the list” I took free online courses (cuz I was broke). I knew I needed to build a list but I had no clue how to get started.

I couldn’t figure out what to write in my ebook. So of course, I went from network marketing company after company and never built a list. EPIC FAIL This is why I’m so happy I’m able to prevent you from making the same mistakes if you haven’t already.

I’m not going to give you my opinion. I’m going to show straight numbers. 

A few weeks ago I  was teaching a webinar and I did my normal routine, posting it on social media. I got 6 registrants for the day. The next day I decided to send it out to my list. I got 71 registrants that day. 

 

 

Why did this happen?

SIMPLE

How many emails does a person get per day versus how many people put out posts on Instagram per day? It’s a no-brainer. The chance I have in thousands seeing my post is 1 in a million. My list on the other hand, I had a better shot.  If you are giving enormous value to your list then they look out for your emails. Hence, why building a list will always trump social media marketing. I personally use my social media to build my list and build relationships.
