Growing Your Audience using Joint Webinars

I bet a lot of people have told you that webinars are dead, but they're actually not!

What’s dead is those sleazy-salesy webinars.

Those webinars that keep you on, giving you all types of information that tells you nothing. Then at the end, they want to sell you a $10,000 program. Those types of webinars are dead but webinars, where we are educating, building rapport, or helping people, are not dead. They’re still alive. People call them masterclasses, presentations, workshops, and whatever other name they choose to call it. It is a way for coaches to teach and sell.

Understand that as a coach, you’re essentially selling a promise. You’re telling people, pay me and I promise you I’m going to help you lose weight, pay me and I promise you I’m going to help you grow your business, pay me and I’m going to help you with, etc (whatever industry you’re in).

You are selling a promise and that means that you have to instill trust, proof, and confidence in your ideal clients so that they want to work with you.

You’re in the business of making sure people understand how you are the solution and how you help them. This is why I say webinars are not dead, and this is why you want to use this type of strategy.

It starts with Solo Webinars. Let’s just say this was a set-up webinar with prepared slides or whatever. It would just be someone coming and teaching their audience. But say their audience started to dry up. Every week the same people are showing up on the webinars and they needed to find a way to grow their audience. That’s where Joint Webinars come in!

You should be looking for people to partner with in your industry so that the both of you can grow faster, and build genuine partnerships. By utilizing other people’s audiences you are going to grow faster.

Below I'm going to give you my top tips for doing joint webinars.

  1. Make sure you and your partner complement each other. Maybe you’re in the business industry and your focus is on messaging and marketing. You don’t really focus on Facebook advertising because you love the organic side, but Facebook advertising works as well. So you can partner with another Facebook ad expert who would be willing to come into your community and teach.

    So how would you guys compliment each other? One learning the organic side, the other learning how to use Facebook’s ads. It’s a win-win for the both of you. Do NOT approach finding a partner in a way where there’s only a win for you.

  2. Next, if you want your joint webinars to really help you to grow your audience, as well as grow your bank accounts, then you need to make sure that you have a great offer. There are two types of main offers that you can sell when you are doing joint webinars.

The first type of offer is an affiliate partnership. If you’ve never heard of affiliate marketing before, affiliate marketing is a way to get paid or for other people’s products. That is a good way to do a joint webinar with somebody. When you’re an affiliate for somebody’s program any of the 50% of the sales that come through after the webinar is yours.

The second type of offer is a bundled offer. That means that the two people who are coming together to do this webinar are going to put together their products, programs, and their services and they’re going to offer a bundle offer to their attendees.

These are the two main ways that you can really become profitable from doing joint webinars and also making it a win-win for both you and the person who are doing a joint webinar with.

  1. Lastly, when you’re doing joint webinars, you can bring someone on your platform to teach and be an affiliate for them. You can still grow your audience and still convert and get clients from this partnership. You can still grow your list and generate funds from that partnership. Understand that with joint webinars, if you are in a position where you are not confident enough to teach yet, you can still do these partnerships and you can still benefit from it.

Understand that as a coach, you're in the business of making sure people understand how you are the solution and how you help them. This is why I say webinars are not dead, and this is why you want to use this type of strategy.

If you want to grow your business, you need to be focused on growing your audience because in order to get clients, you have to have people to talk to.

You also have to be focused on building rapport and building trust so that people can trust that you can help them with the problems that they have.

Then you have to prove it by teaching. When someone joins your coaching program, they are not purchasing education. They can get that on YouTube, Google and from the millions of other coaches out there.

What they are purchasing is accountability, support, and your guidance through a specific roadmap, framework, or process, your process. That is what people are buying when they come into coaching programs.

So when you’re doing these webinars give it your all.
